a glimpse into the life of a beautiful baby boy...

Oklahoma is COLD!

So.... as you know, I was born in California. Sunny California. In fact, I think the day I was born, it was about 95 degrees, and seemed to stay that way forever. It got a little cooler as I got bigger, but we didn't have to wear coats or anything!

THEN, my parents move me all the way across the country to Oklahoma. I like living here most of the time, but it gets really cold and windy! And my mommy makes me put on a coat and hat and mittens all the time! I am not too sure about that... you can't do very much with mittens on.

Here are some pictures of us "enjoying" the cold:

This was the first time it snowed. My mommy got me all dressed up to go outside and play. I was not very excited about that.

One night, we went downtown Fairview and got to watch a parade! All of the floats had lights on them- it was a lot of fun! I got to see Santa and his reindeer, a firetruck and a police car, and a lot of other neat things! I was very focused on the parade, but it was a very cold night. Mommy gave me some of her hot chocolate. Did you know you can drink chocolate!?! it was awesome!

Anyway... we took this family picture at the parade. We were all bundled up to watch it.

Sometimes it gets cold in our house too. And if you recall from previous posts, I LOVE hats. One day I found daddy's seminary hat and wanted to wear it. It is very warm! I put it on to keep me toasty while I was coloring a picture.

Yay, MBBS! I really miss all my friends there!

I concentrate very hard when I am coloring.

Here is a picture of our backyard when it was all snowy!

Unfortunately, I don't get to play in my sandbox very much when it is so cold!

Here I am again!

Wow! I didn't realize how long it had been since my last post! I knew that many of you told my mommy that you were looking for an update (of course, I wanted to post, but my mommy said she was busy-- I can't imagine why- all she does is play with me all day.... and I like her to play with me ALL the time!).

So anyway... I have a lot to catch you up on! To start-- here is a picture of me on Halloween this year! I dressed up as a monkey and I made a GREAT monkey sound. I didn't go to very many houses, but I had a lot of fun! Here I am at my great-grandpa and grandma Bartel's house. Every year they make a big turkey out of a hay bale! It is pretty cool!

I have been helping my mommy a lot, since she is so tired all the time, with a baby in her belly and all. I try to do my best to be a good boy and be a good helper. Here I am helping with the laundry!

I still love to take baths... and the bubbles are my favorite part.

Another fun thing I got to do this fall was drive a tractor! My great-grandpa Bartel has a lot of cool things (remember the turkey?), and he has a really old tractor that he let me drive! I did a great job...
