Big Day

Well, Sunday was a big day for me. First of all, it was my three-week anniversary. 3 Weeks! Can you believe it. I'm an old man...and nobody threw me a party! But I got back at Daddy for it. I decided I would "hold it" until Daddy changed me. Boy did I get him. I peed on him 3 times! Thanks for the advice Toby :)

Not only did I get back at Daddy, but I also lost my umbilical. What a relief! I thought I was going to have to live with a pinched-off straw-looking thing full of dried up blood sticking out of my belly button for the rest of my life! That wouldn't make for very enjoyable days at the beach or wedding nights :( But it's gone now, so I'm back in the game...

Also, Grandpa Jay came and visited this weekend. We had a good time together.

In a few days, Grandma Kelly and Great-Grandma Wathena are coming to visit. That should be neat. Maybe they'll change my diaper too ;-)

Well, that's all for now. I'm sure what you really want to see is more pictures of me, a male model, anyway. So, here goes...

Daddy Left Me

Well, Daddy has been gone all week! He went to Salt Lake City for a conference for 3 days, and just came back last night. 3 days...that's like 16% of my life!!! But he came home and told me he loved me, and changed my diaper, so I forgave him.

I haven't posted on my blog for a week for 3 reasons. First, I have been busy hanging out with Grandma Edie. She came out for a week to visit me. It was a blast! Second, not a lot has happened over the last week (it's been pretty much the same thing -- pee, poop, sleep, eat. repeat). Third, mommy and daddy haven't been taking very good pictures, or very many pictures for me to post. I guess the 'honeymoon' stage is almost over already!

The best thing that's been happening is I've been getting to meet my Grandparents, one by one. First it was Grandma Edie. Today, Grandpa Jay comes (I hear that he's old). Next week, Grandma Kelly and Great-Grandma Wathena comes (she's the youngest great-grandma ever). Then, finally, I'll meet Grandpappy Vern in June.

Below are assorted pictures of myself. One of them is with Grandma Edie. Thanks for visiting, Grandma!

Representin'

Hello everyone. I hope you are doing well. I'm doing surprisingly well, considering mommy and daddy took me to the doctor yesterday for the ole "snip snip" (if you don't know what I'm talking about, ask your closest Jewish friend). I've been sleeping a lot, and eating less frequently, which I'm sure is making mommy a much happier person :) All in all, these have been a great 9 days so far. Not a lot to complain about.

Today, I'd like to let you all know a little about myself. There are two things that mean a lot to me in this world that I'd like to talk about: male modeling and the OU Sooners. So to answer your question, Kenyon, my parents have already been teaching me in the wise ways of the crimson and cream. I guess you could say I'm already "Cali born, Sooner bred." Below you will find a collage (yes I know what you're thinking; "this kid's a genius. He already knows how to make a collage, as well as spell the word and use it in a sentence. As my Uncle Adam likes to say, "Get over it." I'm going to say and do a lot of amazing things in my lifetime, so get ready.) ...anyway, below is a collage of me in my favorite outfit:

So, fellow sooners, there's no need to worry. I vow to never be a Cowboy (Dallas or OSU), a longhorn, or a trojan. Case closed.

Another important part of my life if male modeling. I'm already working on some of my favorite faces, modeled after the 3-time male model of the year award winner and my personal favorite male model, Derek Zoolander. As you can see below, at only one week, I'm already perfecting my new looks, modeled after Zoolander's. So keep an eye out for me, Micahlander, for I will soon be coming to a billboard near you.

It's really tough being really, really, really, extremely good looking.

Happy Mothers Day!

Hello friends and family! I've been alive for one week now. And wow, what a week! I've done so much...and so little, all at the same time. Really, like I've already told you, I try to stick to the three things I do best -- eating, sleeping, and pooping. But this week I did even more than that. I took my first shopping trip. We went to Babies 'R' Us and JC Penney Home Store. Of course, we got some stuff for me, like a cool, blue blankie. But I also got mommy a Mothers Day Present, new bedding and pillows. I hope she sleeps better now...oh wait, I still like to eat in the middle of the night :-) So I want to say Happy Mothers Day, Mom. You are soooo awesome! Not only do you provide me with love, food, and comfort, but you are the sweetest and nicest and bestest mom ever! I love you soooo much! Happy Mothers Day, mom!

day 4

Hello again!

I'm four days old today. Yes, I can count to four! Day four is kind of tough. Today has been a very eventful day. I haven't slept much, and I've been pretty much hungry all day, feeding about every hour and a half (and considering I feed for 30-45 minutes, that's a lot of time feeding). Between feedings, I slept very little. Some of my awake time was very happy, and some of it was not so happy. You know, I'm just getting used to this strange, new world. It's a crazy place!

I wanted to share with you some of the highlights from the last couple days:

Going Home from the Hospital

On Monday, we came home from the hospital. Mommy and Daddy thought I'd cry the whole way home, but I surprised them with a quiet ride. It's due mostly to the fact that I love and trust my mommy so much. I know that when she's around, I'm safe.

Bath Time

I had my first bath yesterday. It was a little traumatic for me. Those people put me in a big white "box" and let me lay there naked and cold. I hated it!

But afterwards wasn't so bad. Mommy cuddled and snuggled me and all was well. I was safe with mommy and warm again. Plus, I was extremely cute.

Working Out

So I've been trying to work out lately. I came out a little skinny, butI'm working on building muscle tone. Here's a picture of me flexing for daddy.

Sleeping

So I sleep a lot. While mommy and daddy like to put me in a cage to sleep (they call it a crib), I prefer to sleep with them:

Girls
While mommy and daddy don't think I'm interested in girls yet (and don't tell them!), I already have one girlfriend, and I'm working on a couple more :) Above is my girlfriend Mia. She's an older chick -- and very beautiful too. Maybe I shouldn't have a girlfriend that is 7 months older than me, but I've already fallen for her. Besides, in a few years, 7 months won't be a big deal; we might even be in the same grade! From the picture, it seems she's taken a liking to me as well.

They do say I'm quite the ladies' man.

beginnings...

Well, I guess I better start at the beginning. At least the beginning of mommy's labor, not the true beginning (mommy and daddy wouldn't be very happy if I were to post personal information about them on the internet....besides, I don't want them to know about this blog anyway, because you aren't supposed to have a blog unless you're 13! what a joke.) Anyway, below is a picture of me when I was only 1 1/2 hours old. As you can see, I wasn't very happy. For the last 40 weeks and 4 days, I had been lounging in a hot tub with a feeding tube. Now I'm naked, in a cold strange room, and without any direct line of food to my body. But I figured I'd have to deal with it....there's no way Mommy was going to let me back in there.

I came into this world on a Sunday morning. I was 7 lbs. 6 oz. and 20 3/4 inches long (but mommy and daddy know that I'm really longer than that -- I was just faking the nurses out by not stretching out all the way). I have slate-blue eyes (that's "gray-blue" to all you color illiterate men) and LOTS of light blonde hair. So, as you can hear (and see below), I'm quite a stud.

Some of you might be wondering what I do all day. Well, my daily schedule goes something like this: Wake up, look cute, eat, poop, morning nap 1, cry, eat, morning nap 2, eat, be cute, nap some more, cry a little, eat, sleep, look cute sleeping, pee, poop, wake up, eat. I have a flexible rotation. I'm cool with switching the sleeping and pooping sometimes, or make some other adjustments, just to add a little spice to my life (when mommy eats curry, it adds spice to my life as well :). But, for the most part, I prefer to stick to these things that I do best. I'll probably do those until I perfect them, then add some more into my routine.

Well, I guess that's all for now. I just wanted to introduce myself to the world :) I'll be back very regularly to update you on my life, and of course I'll spoil you with pictures. By the way, below is a pic of me and my beautiful mommy (who, by the way, delivered me with no pain medication! Go mommy!).
